What is Green Business Network Norway?

Green Business Network Norway (GBNN) is a leading Norwegian CSR-organisation  with companies, ministries, universities and representatives from the civil society (NGOs) as members and stakeholders.

GBNN was established in 1996 and has approximately 45 members. GBNN is focusing on:

- Environment, climate changes and renewable energy

- Corporate Social Responsibility - in both a national and an international context

 

 

Main activities are:

- Conferences and seminars on climate changes, renewable energy and energy efficiency - member service

- National conferences on Corporate Social Responsibility (2002, 2003, 2005 and 2008)

- Conferences on Corporate Social Responsibilitiy issues - member service

- Newsletters - memberservice

- Consultancies on environment and climate change issues- in Norway and abroad

 

GBNN is the Norwegian National Partner Organisation (NPO) to CSR Europe www.csreuope.org

 

The network's advisory board consists of representatives from:

- Coop

- Forsvarsbygg

- KLP

- NSB

- Rederiforbundet

- Sparebankforeningen

 

Environment Lillehammer is the legislative body for GBNN. Environment Lillehammer (NO 977 351 855) is governed by a board appointed by: the County of Oppland, Municipality of Lillehammer, Lillehammer University College, The Norwegian Olympic and Paralympic Committee and Confederation of Sports and Birkebeinerlaugets Bedriftsutvikling.
